Entrepreneur Ernest Pascual needed a website redesign of his events coordination business. Having a background in graphic design for print, he had a very particular set of aesthetic requirements, he wanted a look that best represents his target clientele and a reflection of his approach in organizing events: stylish and elegant.
It was also important for the new site to showcase several marquee events he organized with each having its own gallery of photos – he wanted the gallery to be engaging, something that allowed his visitors to better appreciate the details and unique touches he had put into each event and see the concept behind each event.
He also wanted to integrate his blogspot page into the site, he did not want to transfer to a locally hosted blog as his blogspot page at the time has a big following and an active audience.
The Photo Gallery
For a unique gallery, I decided on the use of an AJAX script to that allows a full-view of the images simultaneously with each full view draggable across the screen – like viewing actual photographs, as opposed to light boxes that close when another thumbnail is clicked.
With attention to composition, I manually cropped each of the over three hundred photos of the entire site to ensure that the images in the thumbnails remain properly composed – I did not want to leave it to chance by automating this process via software.

For the blogger page, I made a customized blogspot template to match the look of the site so the visitor experience will be seamless when they navigate from his site to the blog and back
